Mahi Ngātahi: Manawaroa me tē Kōnekeneke
E tē Wāhi Ngaro, whakatata mai.
Whakatata mai ki ngā iwi katoa ō Te Taitokerau ō Tāmaki
e pānui nei i tenei Ripoata ā Tau, I runga i te Ipurangi
Whakatau iho о̄ manaakitanga ki runga i enei hāpori
ki te whakatutuki ā ratou moemoeā, hei painga mō ā ratou hāpori whānui
Ko tenei hoki tā matou inoi ki ā koe, mau ano e whakamana mai
Ake nei, ake nei. Ae.
Oh the Unseen One, draw near
Draw near to all the people of Northland and Auckland
Who read this annual report via the internet
Pour down your blessings upon these communities
To fulfil their aspirations for the benefit of their wider communities
This is our prayer, that it be granted
Evermore, so be it.
Nau mai, haere mai, ki te Ripoata ā Tau 2022/23
Welcome to our Annual Report 2022/23
We are grateful for the wisdom and guidance of our kaumātua Kevin Prime, who gifts us these words about our report’s theme this year.

E nga Iwi ō nga hāpori ō Tāmaki ō Te Taitokerau tena rā koutou katoa.
Nau mai rā ki tenei Ripoata ā Tau rā runga i te Ipurangi, mō te tāu kua hipa, kua uru mai ngā pororaru penei i ngā waipuke, ngā mate urutā me ngā taimahatanga e pīkau nei e ngā hāpori. Nā tē manawaroa me tē kōnekeneke i taea tonu mātou ki te āwhina i ngā hāpori, ki te kimi ngātahi i ngā huarahi ki te whakatika ake i ngā nawe, ngā kūrakuraku kua pā mai ki runga i ā tātou me tē tautoko ngā kaupapa pēnei i tē mahi ngātahi.
Ka mihi tonu ki ngā Aitua maha kua hinga atu ki tua o tē arai; kua tangihia rātou, kua mihia, kua poroporoakitia, nā reira ra me kī kua ea. Nā reira ki a koutou katoa e ngā mate maha, haere atu ra, haere, haere, haere.
Ko tē tumanako hoki kia tautokoina e koutou katoa tenei kaupapa hei oranga mō ngā whakatupuranga kei tē haere mai.
Kia ora.
Communities of Auckland and Northland, greetings to you all.
Welcome to this online Annual Report, our story of a year which has brought many challenges like flooding, disease outbreaks and other burdens foisted on local communities. Through resilience and change we continue to support the theme of yesteryear - to assist communities in navigating together to find solutions to address the challenges we face.
We continue to acknowledge our many who have fallen beyond the barrier; they have been wept for, greeted and farewelled, let that suffice. Therefore, to our many who have passed on - farewell, farewell, farewell to you all.
The hope is that you will all endorse this kaupapa for future generations.
Be well, be of good health.
